Configure time clock permissions to control which employees and administrators can access specific time clocks and time clock groups.
The Time Clock In/Out reporting method must be enabled in Reporting Hours for employees to appear on a time clock.

Create a time clock permissions rule
- Go to Global Settings > Devices > Time Clock Permissions .
- Click Create Rule.
- Select the audience:
- Everyone
- Specific employee
- Select the Role:
- Employee for standard clocking access
- Administrator for full time clock management access
- Configure time clock group access:
- Select All Time Clock Groups to allow access to all groups.
- Clear All Time Clock Groups, then click Click to add... to select specific groups.
- Configure device access:
- Select All Time Clocks to allow access to all devices.
- Clear All Time Clocks, then click Click to add... to select specific devices.
- Click Save.
Manage existing rules
- Use the filters to view rules by:
- All
- Everyone
- Employees
- Select a rule.
- Update settings as needed.
- Click Save.
Review assignments
- Click View Assignments.
- Search for an employee by name or ID.
- Review the assigned time clock permissions rule.
Permission behavior

Administrator access allows full time clock control, including:
- Menu access
- Biometric enrollment
- Proximity card setup
- PIN assignment
- Device configuration
- Employee access allows employees to clock in and out using configured authentication methods.
- Only one active Everyone rule can exist at a time. Creating a new Everyone rule automatically ends the previous one.
- Time Clock Permissions control which devices users can access. Reporting Hours determines whether users can clock in or out.
